FOCUS
To anchor the believer’s soul in the truth that God is never reactive, surprised, or scrambling for a backup plan, empowering them to rest completely in the knowledge that their deliverance was settled before their crisis ever began.
John 6:5-6
“When Jesus then lifted up his eyes, and saw a great company come unto him, he saith unto Philip, Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat?
And this he said to prove him: for he himself knew what he would do.”
Isaiah 46:9-10
“Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure.”
INTRODUCTION
In the previous teachings, we saw how human calculations fail because we live trapped inside sensory sight and spatial limits. We learned that God permits testing environments—not to break us, but to stretch our spiritual capacity. Then we also addressed our human addiction to control and learned to surrender the need to know the detailed blueprint. All these teachings are all in the category, Faith and Trust
Now, we have come to the core anchor of spiritual rest: Jesus has already figured it out.
Look closely at John 6:6: “for He Himself knew what He would do.” Notice the tense of that statement. Before Philip ever panicked, before the crowd ever felt a hunger pang, and before a single piece of bread was passed, the miracle was already calculated, determined, and finalized in the mind of Christ.
God never operates in panic mode. He never holds emergency meetings in heaven or crafts Plan B because Plan A failed. Your unexpected emergency is never an unexpected emergency to God. Long before you stumbled into your crisis, Jesus had already written the conclusion to your story.
- God’s Solution Always Precedes Your Problem (Ephesians 1:4, Revelation 13:8)
In human life, problems happen first, and then we scramble to find solutions. In God’s realm, the solution exists before the problem ever manifests.
Before the crowd showed up hungry in the wilderness, Jesus already had the miracle ready. In the same way, before the diagnosis was delivered, before the layoff occurred, or before the relationship hit a wall, Christ had already ordained your pathway through it.
You are not waiting for God to invent a brand-new fix for your life; you are simply waiting for His pre-determined deliverance to manifest in time.
- Resting in Omniscience (Isaiah 46:9-10)
God declares “the end from the beginning.” He doesn’t start at the beginning and hope He makes it to the end; He stands at the end and guides you through the middle.
When you realize that the Alpha and Omega has already walked through your future, anxiety loses its power over your heart.
As we established when learning to surrender the need to know, you don’t need to know what to do as long as you remember that He already knows what He will do. Your job is not creation; your job is reliance.
- True Faith Enters God’s Sabbath Rest (Hebrews 4:3, 10)
Hebrews 4:3 tells us that “the works were finished from the foundation of the world.”
Resting in Christ is not passive laziness or giving up; it is an active spiritual position where you cease from your own frantic striving and lean entirely on His finished work.
When you truly believe that Jesus has already figured it out, your prayers shift from frantic begging to confident thanksgiving. You stop crying “Lord, what are we going to do?” and start declaring “Lord, I thank You because You already have the answer.”
BIBLE CHARACTER EXAMPLE: JOSEPH AND THE FAMINE (Genesis 45:5-8, Genesis 50:20)
Consider the life of Joseph. When his brothers sold him into slavery, when Potiphar’s wife falsely accused him, and when he sat forgotten in an Egyptian dungeon for years, it looked like total ruin.
From a human standpoint, Joseph’s life was an unplanned disaster. But God had already figured it out. Decades before a massive 7-year famine struck the ancient world, God sent Joseph ahead to Egypt to preserve life and store up grain.
When Joseph finally revealed himself to his brothers, he didn’t express bitterness or panic. He said in Genesis 45:7: “God sent me before you to preserve you a posterity in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance.” What looked like a series of tragic accidents to Joseph was actually God working out a pre-determined deliverance. God had the blueprint drawn before the famine ever began.
CONCLUSION
Whatever situation is keeping you awake at night, hear this truth: Jesus is not stressed about it. He is not wringing His hands trying to work out a solution. He sits on the throne with absolute authority, fully aware of the end result.
Stop treating your trial like an unscripted crisis. Revisit the lesson from John 6:6 and rest in His divine foreknowledge. The answer is already prepared, the miracle is already scheduled, and the deliverance is already settled. Breathe, let go of the pressure, and rest in the One who has already figured it out.

PRAYER
Heavenly Father, I praise You because You are the Alpha and the Omega, the God who sees the end from the beginning.
Forgive me for stressing over situations that You have already solved.
Today, I anchor my soul in the truth that You are never caught off guard and that my deliverance was settled before my problem ever began.
I choose to enter Your rest.
I trade my anxiety for Your peace, knowing that You have already figured it out and will bring it to pass in Your perfect timing.
