But what if the future isn’t unknown to the One who leads you? In the economy of heaven, there is no such thing as an unforeseen emergency. God is omniscient, meaning He possesses infinite, total, and simultaneous knowledge of all things—past, present, and future. To walk in lasting emotional stability, we must stop viewing our lives through the narrow window of our own limited vision and learn to rely on the absolute, all-encompassing knowledge of our Sovereign Lord.
God is in charge, in control and in power!

The primary focus of this teaching is to overcome the anxiety of the unknown by trusting in a God who already knows everything about our past, present, and future. We will discover that we can confidently step into tomorrow because our God is already there.

God’s knowledge of you is not a distant, clinical data set. The Hebrew word for “search” is chaqar, which means to dig deep, examine thoroughly, or penetrate to the core. He knows your unique vulnerabilities, your secret anxieties, and your structural capacity. You never have to explain your pain or context to God; He understands it perfectly before you even speak a word.

The scripture notes that God tracks your most basic, mundane movements: “You know my sitting down and my rising up… You comprehend my path and my lying down.” The word “comprehend” in Hebrew means to winnow or sift. God sifts through your days. He knows when you sit down in exhaustion at your desk, and He knows the weight of the thoughts on your mind when you lie down to sleep at night.
If God takes such meticulous note of your daily postures, He is certainly tracking the larger trajectory of your career, your finances, and your household. Nothing concerning you slips beneath His radar.

Because God understands your “thought afar off” and is “acquainted with all your ways,” He is never blindsided by human events.
Omniscience means that God doesn’t look at a sudden economic downturn, a corporate restructuring, or a personal health report and say, “I didn’t see that coming.” Never!
For the believer, the future is not a dark room full of scary surprises; it is a fully mapped-out terrain managed by a loving Father. Relying on His omniscience means letting go of the exhausting need to know what the future holds, and simply trusting Who holds the future.
Bible Character Example: Ananias and the Fully Mapped Strategy
A spectacular New Testament demonstration of God’s omniscience directing a believer through an intimidating situation is found in the calling of Ananias in Acts 9:10-17. The church was facing an unprecedented crisis: a radical persecutor named Saul of Tarsus was arresting Christians and tearing families apart. The future of the movement felt incredibly fragile and uncertain.
Suddenly, the Sovereign Lord spoke to a disciple named Ananias in a vision. Notice the staggering precision of God’s omniscience in Acts 9:11: “Arise and go to the street called Straight, and inquire at the house of Judas for one called Saul of Tarsus, for behold, he is praying.” God knew the exact city, the exact street name, the exact homeowner, the target individual, and exactly what that individual was doing at that very second.
When Ananias expressed natural human anxiety—knowing Saul’s dangerous reputation—God bypassed his fear by revealing the future blueprint: “Go, for he is a chosen vessel of Mine to bear My name before Gentiles, kings, and the children of Israel” (Acts 9:15). Ananias didn’t have to guess or navigate blindly. He relied entirely on the all-knowing intelligence of God, stepped into that house, laid hands on Saul, and unlocked the ministry of the greatest Apostle in church history. His internal peace and obedience were anchored by a God who saw the end of Saul’s life before his conversion even finished.
